Wade Lange
Chairman
Wade Lange is a proven senior executive and entrepreneur who has served as a CEO and COO in multiple early-stage companies and has senior executive experience in marketing, market research, business development, and general management. The challenge that Wade is currently addressing through his 6th startup company is to use Indiana’s historical strengths in agriculture and manufacturing to create a new industry that transforms agricultural residues into bio-based chemicals and materials.
After starting his career at Eli Lilly & Company, Wade has led startup companies to success exemplified by two successful exits. Wade also served as Purdue Research Foundation’s Chief Entrepreneurial Officer where he led Purdue’s programs to encourage and support scientist-entrepreneurs to commercialize their discoveries via startup companies. As a result of those efforts, Purdue was consistently one of the leading universities worldwide in new company formation.
Wade earned a degrees from Purdue’s College of Pharmacy and Daniels School of Business. The hallmark of Wade’s career has been a consistent focus on integrating market focus and technology development to find and capitalize on new growth opportunities. He is known for building strong relationships and collaborations across organizational boundaries to create solutions to business problems. Wade’s secret sauce: investigate, listen, understand the needs and expectations of others, and encourage others to actively engage, with a bias toward action.
