Aaron W. Vermilion is a skilled leader in the pharmaceutical industry with nearly 30 years of expertise in strategic account management, hospital sales, and business development. As corporate account director at a major pharmaceutical company, Aaron oversees complex health system relationships across multiple states, driving access, alignment, and performance for key accounts.
Prior to his current role, Aaron dedicated over 15 years to Astellas Pharma Inc., where he held a series of progressive leadership positions, including Senior Corporate Accounts Director for Women’s Health Strategic Accounts, Regional Marketing Manager, and Senior Executive in Hospital Sales. During his tenure at Astellas, he spearheaded cross-functional initiatives, crafted and implemented strategic business plans, and worked closely with national corporate accounts, health systems, pharmacy leaders, and C-suite executives to broaden access and stimulate demand for innovative therapies.
Aaron’s pharmaceutical journey began at Eli Lilly and Company, where he developed a solid grounding in both primary care and hospital sales, eventually advancing to the role of Executive Hospital Sales Specialist. His career is marked by deep knowledge of reimbursement strategies, Medicare and Medicaid policy, competitive market dynamics, and large health system formulary access.
Renowned for his entrepreneurial spirit and relationship-focused leadership, Aaron has successfully led cross-functional teams, navigated complex stakeholder environments, and delivered measurable results from strategy to execution. His ability to foster long-term partnerships with healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders has been instrumental in building enduring business opportunities.
Aaron holds an MBA in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Butler University, where he was a three-year letter winner and captain of the football team. He remains an active Butler alumnus, serving on the Butler Alumni Board of Directors and as a member of the Butler Putnam Society.
